To benefit from the support, SMEs must operate in the sectors specified below (NACE REV 2.1):

  • C – Manufacturing
  • K-62: Computer programming, consultancy, and related activities
  • N-72: Scientific research and development activities

GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR INCREASING EMPLOYMENT

Employment Commitment for Supported SME
During the support period, SMEs are obliged to employ at least 1 (one) Turkish citizen and 1 (one) foreigner with at least one of them being newly hired.
Foreigner: Syrians under temporary protection (SuTP) or foreigner under international protection (FuIP)

Maximum Support Amount
For the personnel subject to employment:
• If both employees are men and over 30, the SME will receive EUR 4,500 per four-month payment period – total EUR 18,000.
• If at least one employee is a woman or a man under 30, the SME will receive EUR 5,500 per four-month payment period – total EUR 22,000.

Other Conditions

• Support payments will be made in four installments, each lasting four months. SMEs that fail to meet the employment commitment in any period will be granted an additional period.
• SMEs that do not request payment for any two payment periods, including the additional payment period, shall be excluded from the programme.
• For each payment period, a minimum of 61 social security institution (SSI) premium days must be paid per employed person. Payments will not be made if this condition is not met.
• Support payments will not be made to SMEs with overdue tax and SSI debts that exceed legal limits and for which no deferral or installment plan has been arranged for the respective period. Payments withheld due to such debts will be made once the debts are paid, deferred, or scheduled for installment.


Environmental and Social Requirements

• Candidate SMEs must commit to environmental and social obligations using the format specified in the Call for Proposals.
• SMEs classified as “B” or “C” under the IFC Environmental and Social Management System must inform KOSGEB if they move to a higher-risk category.
• SMEs are required to implement the actions specified in corrective action plans communicated after KOSGEB’ monitoring and to submit the reports requested by KOSGEB.
